BASSETT, Emily "Nana" 91, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday June 27 at home under the care of Hospice and with her loving family. Born in Allentown, PA, she came here in 1960. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, always looking forward to the next dance. She was loving and caring to all she encountered and had a heart and smile as big as the sky. She will be missed dearly and those she touched will endeavor to be as considerate, endearing, and have her same joy for life. Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Patrick Bassett; one child, Patrick Bassett Jr of Alexandria, VA; five grandchildren, Tammy Hill, St. Pete Beach; Alison Maher, of Boulder, CO; Kristie Davies and Tina Pence of St. Petersburg, and Brooke Bassett of Boulder, CO; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Florida Suncoast 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760, or to the charity of their choice.
