Deane Hendrick Bassett

Deane Hendrick Bassett, 85, of Howland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born April 10, 1934 in Newton, Mass., the son of Deane L. and Phyllis (Gammons) Bassett, and had lived in Ohio since the early 1960s.
Deane graduated from high school in New Hampshire before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors after thirty-five years of employment. He was an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed music.
He is sadly missed by his beloved wife of nearly sixty-three years, Paulette J. (Muller) Bassett, whom he married in Nancy, France on May 25, 1957; five daughters: Marjorie Kirk (Thomas) of Warren, Pierrette Scanavino of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Hurteau of Athens, Ga., Carol Miller (Fred) of Orlando, Fla., and Nancy Malires (Michael) of Marietta, Ga.; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joy Bassett of Arizona.
His parents precede him in death.
Per his request, services are private. Cremation is taking place.

Bassett ? Levin
Mr. and Mrs. Deane H. Bassett of Warren, Ohio, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy Lorraine, to Robert Michael Levine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Levine of Atlanta.
Miss Bassett is the granddaughter of Deane L. Bassett of Greenville, N.H., and the late Phyllis Bassett, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Muller of Nancy, France. She is an accounting administrator at the Emory Eye Clinic.
Mr. Levine is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Levine, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Bayowitz, all of New York City. He received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Georgia State University and is employed as a sales manager with Enterprise Leasing Company.
An April wedding is planned.
