Kay E. Baker (1942-2015)
CUBA - Kay E. Baker, 73, of 97 E. Main St., Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (Dec. 2, 2015) at home.
Born on Feb. 2, 1942, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of Wayne and Virginia Bassett Carpenter.
Kay was a graduate of Belmont High School. She was a former member of the Belmont Baptist Church.
Kay had been employed by AL Blades Construction of Hornell, where she helped in the construction of Interstate 86.
She enjoyed NASCAR racing and her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Baker and Curtis Baker, both of Friendship; a daughter, Laurie (Jeffrey) Taylor of Friendship; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Snyder of Friendship; and several nieces and nephews.
In honoring Kay's wishes, private family services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., Cuba.
