Stanford Bassett
BASS RIVER Stanford "Marc" Bassett, 67, passed away on October 26, 2014.Marc was born and raised in Bass River and graduated with a BFA from New England School of Art & Design. An accomplished painter and woodcarver, Marc was very talented and well known throughout the New England area. He was a spiritual and adventurous man who loved the sea, commissioning artwork through his company Bassett Woodcarvings. He is survived by his daughters, Leah Sarrah Bassett, and Rachael Cathlene Bassett; and their mother, Alice Lynch. He was the brother of Rosalind Hennessey, Gladys Jane Pendergraft, and the late Gail Carnovale. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at South Yarmouth United Methodist Church. 322 Old Main St. South Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Family Pantry, 133 Queen Anne Rd. Harwich, MA 02645.
