  Notes	The News Palladium, Benton Harbor, Michigan Monday, February 6, 1961 Donald R. Bassett Bloomingdale - Donald R. Bassett, 58, died suddenly at his home Saturday morning. He was born Dec. 14, 1902, in Arlington, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Bassett. He had lived in the rural Bloomingdale area for about 50 years. Mr. Bassett was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Amy, and his mother, Mrs. Nellie Bassett, both of Bloomingdale; one brother Alva Dale Bassett of Kalamazoo; and one sister, Mrs. Bruce (June) Lohrberg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Robbins funeral home in Bloomingdale. The Rev. Fr. Robert McDougall of Albion St. James Episcopal church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery in Bloomingdale.
