Deane L. Bassett, 91, of Mason, died at his home March 9, 1999, after a short illness. Born Feb. 18, 1908, in Carbondale, Pa., he was the son of Deane H. and Harriet (Hulse) Bassett. He had lived in Mason since 1955. Mr. Bassett was a graduate of Phillips Academy of Andover, Mass., and attended MIT, Babson Institute and Cornell University. He was employed as the advertising and office manager for the Standard Duplicating Machine Inc. of Everett, Mass., for many years, and retired in 1972. Mr. Bassett was a permanent member of the Christian Science Mother Church of Boston. He was an usher of the Ayer and Concord, Mass., branches of the Christian Science Church for many years. He was the widower of Phyllis (Gammons) Bassett, who died in 1982. Members of his family includes a son, Deane H. Bassett of Warren, ohio; a daughter, Joy D. Bassett of Mason; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, at 1 p.m. in the Mason Congregational Church. Graveside services will be held in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, at a date and time to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the Mason Volunteer Fire Department Association, 16 Depot Road, Mason, NH 03048. The Nelson Funeral Home Inc., Wilton, is in charge of arrangements.

Deane L. Bassett Worked at Standard Duplicating
Deane L. Bassett, 91, of Valley Road, Mason, died at his home, Tuesday, March 9, 1999, following a short illness.
He had been employed as the advertising and office manager for the Standard Duplicating Machine Inc. of Everett, Mass., for many years, retiring in 1972.
Mr. Bassett was a permanent member of the Christian Science Mother Church of Boston. He also had been an usher at the Ayer and Concord, Mass., branches of the Church of Christ, Scientist, for many years.
He was a graduate of Phillips Academy of Andover, Mass., and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Babson Institute and Cornell University.
Mr. Bassett was the widower of Phyllis (Gammons) Bassett, who died in 1982.

BASSETT - Died March 9, 1999, following a brief illness, Deane L. Bassett, of Valley Road, Mason. There are no calling hours. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday March 20, 1999, at the Mason Congregational Church. Springtime graveside services will be held in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, date and time to be announced later.
