Kenneth D. Bassett
Kenneth D. Bassett, 83, of Avon, died Sunday, (July 29, 2001) at home. He was born July 27, 1938 in Hartford, son of Della D. (Tumas) Bassett of Bristol and the late Edward L. Bassett, Sr. and had lived in Avon for the past 20 years. Mr. Bassett was employed as a supervisor at Hartford Electric Light Company for 30 years prior to his retirement. Ken was an avid woodsman, enjoying the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Christopher Bassett and Mark Bassett; two daughters, Cathy Blain and Karin Goodbar of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Edward L. Bassett, Jr. of Unionville; five grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. There are no calling hours. Funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends of CT, P.O. Box 370-306, West Hartford, CT 06137.
