      Bassett-Sharpe Announcement

      Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Sharpe, of 62 Calhoun street, announce the marriage of Mr. Sharpe?s sister, Miss Edith L. Sharpe, and Mr. Chester E. Bassett, of Charleston and Mobile, Ala. The ceremony took place Thursday evening, February 9, at the home of the Rev. Andrew M. Graves, 3 Hampstead square.
      The ceremony was followed by a wedding supper given by Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe at their home.
      Mr. Bassett is connected with the Charleston navy yard. The couple are residing at 713 King Street.

      Chester E. Bassett

      Chester E. Bassett, of 713 King street, died yesterday afternoon at a local infirmary.
      He was born November 3, 1889, in Indianapolis. He was a Baptist and was affiliated with local union 470 of plumbers and pipefitters. Mr. Bassett worked as a plumber, planner and estimator at the Charleston navy yard until his retirement some years ago.
      Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Edith L. Sharpe; a brother, Earl C. Bassett, of Mobile; and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Shillings, of Indianapolis and Mrs. Derwood Johns, of Washington.
