Priscilla Bassett
Priscilla (Anderson) (Hall) Bassett, 88 years of age, passed away at Southwood
at Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, Norwell on June 26, 2010. She
was born in Boston, Feb. 20, 1922 and moved to Wollaston in 1924 then to
Weymouth in 1952 where she lived until 1994 when she moved to Halifax. She
attended Massachusetts Fields School, Wollaston and graduated from North
Quincy High School in 1939. While living in Weymouth she was an active member
of the East Weymouth Congregational Church. Priscilla was the wife of the late
Ralph Clifford Bassett who died in 2003 and the late Ray D. Hall who died in
1985. She is survived by two sons Mark D. Hall married to Kathleen Hall of
Whitman and Dana R. Hall married to Wendy Hall of Summerfield, Florida. She is
survived by three granddaughters Carolyn Hall of Anchorage, Alaska, Alyssa
Simard of Raymond, NH and Marianne Hall of Whitman. Priscilla is the sister of
Alan Anderson of Shrewsbury and Jean Henderson of Weymouth. A funeral service
was held at the Mortimer N. Peck | Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington
Street, Braintree on Friday, July 2, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at t
Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne with a committal service there at at
1:30 p.m.. Visiting hours were Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
home in Braintree. Memorial donations may be sent to the East Weymouth
Congregational Church, 1320 Commercial St., E. Weymouth, MA 02189.
