Elliott Bassett, founded St. Dunstan?s School
Elliott R. Bassett, 74, founder and a past president of St. Dunstan's Day School, Providence, died Sunday at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret T. Bassett.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Oscar and Doris (Reynolds) Bassett, he also lived in Barrington before moving to Port Charlotte six years ago.
Mr. Bassett was a jewelry manufacturer, and owner of E.R. Bassett, Providence, and Elmar Creations. He was a communicant of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a member of the Lions Club.
Besides his wife he leaves a son, Gary E. Bassett of East Providence, and three brothers, Niles Bassett of Providence, Oscar Bassett of North Providence, and T. Raymond Bassett of East Providence.
Cremation will be in Florida.
