John O. Bass
Clinton, December 29 - John O. Bass, 34, farmer of Clinton, Route 3, died at his home about 6:30 o’clock this morning from an apparent dose of poisoning. Details were lacking since officers who investigated the tragedy were out of town and could not be reached late this afternoon for a statement.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from Brown’s Baptist Church, with the Reverend Frank Hurley of Salemburg in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eloise Gautier Bass, one daughter, Clara Bass, four sons, Curtis Ray, G.W., Milton and Wilton Bass. His mother, Mrs. Jane McCullen Bass, eight brothers, Bill, Simon, D.C., A.L., Charlie, Mossell, Doc and Richard Bass all of Clinton, Route 3.
