Mrs. Kenneth Bassett, Kent
Funeral services for Mrs. Luetta M. Bassett, 43, of 7143 S. 285th St., Kent, will be at 2 o?clock tomorrow in the Edline chapel, Kent. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bassett died in a hospital Friday after a brief illness. A native of Nebraska, she spent part of her early life in Republic, Ferry County, and Tacoma. She went to Auburn in 1935 and to Kent in 1940.
Mrs. Bassett was a past president and life member of the Thomas School P.T.A., Kent. She also was a past president of the Hill Toppers Bowling League and the Logandale Neighbors Club and was an active volunteer for the United Good Neighbor Fund and National Foundation in Kent.
Survivors are her husband, Kenneth M., a Boeing Co. employee; two sons, Stanley H. and Michael K. Bassett, both of Kent; three daughters, Barbara L. Bassett and Mrs. Dianne Barnes, both of Kent, and Mrs. William Kemery, Seattle, and two grandchildren.
The family requests that remembrances be made to the Myrtle Curry Scholarship Fund at the Thomas School.
