Hebert Bassett
Herbert H. Bassett, 80 beloved son of Marjorie and Donald Bassett passed away on Monday Aug. 8, 2022 at his residence in Joplin, MO.
Herbert was born Jan. 16, 1942 in Salina, KS. He graduated from Salina High School with honors in 1960. He later became a professional engineer and worked at Wilson and Co. Architects & Engineers for 30 plus years.
He then retired and moved to Albuquerque, NM to be with his wife, Nancy, who preceded him in death in 2018.
Herbert was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, a life-long Shriner, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a long time member of the Elks Club and the American Legion.
He is survived by his brother Robert, a niece Erin, and nephew Preston along with their children Elara, Scarlet, and Finnagan.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Sunday Aug. 14, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary 137 N 8th St.
A funeral service will be at St John's Lutheran Church on Monday Aug. 15th at 11:00 A.M. The service will be officiated by Pastor Del Strecker. Burial will be at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
