Memorial services at his late residence, 916 St. James Street, Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Kindly omit flowers. Interment later at Cincinnati, Ohio.

Died September 16, 1938
George Pomeroy Bassett, Jr., prominent in the coal business here for the past ?? years, died suddenly yesterday in the Oliver building from a heart attack. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Bassett came to Pittsburgh in 1900 and since then has been connected with the coal and iron business. Recently he was associated with the Wieman & Ward Company. A member of a pioneer Ohio family, he was the son of the late George P. and Eliza Andrews Bassett. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada Bremfoerder Bassett, three sons, George P. III, Henry B. and Richard Bassett; one sister, Mrs. John Ewing Blaine, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and one brother Frederick P. Bassett, of Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at his home, 916 James street, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
East End Man Dies
George P. Bassett, Jr., 62, of St. James street, East End, collapsed while waiting in the foyer of the Oliver building at noon yesterday and was pronounced dead a few minutes later, according to a report to the morgue. Death was caused by heart failure, the report said.
