Tom Bass
Mr. Bass, 70 of Charlotte died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. Born August 17, 1935 in Wilson, North Carolina, Tom was the son of the late Lela and Tommie L. Bass. A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a Morehead Scholar, Mr. Bass served with the US Army before beginning his 30 year career as a sales executive in the plastics industry. He had resided in Charlotte since 1984 and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Tom is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Pardi Bass of the home; daughter, Melissa Bass of Atlanta, GA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with Reverend Edward Sheridan celebrant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, it has been asked that memorials be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28211, or to Holy Angels, 6600 Wilkinson Boulevard, Belmont, North Carolina 28012. Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.
