Milford A. Bassett
ANDOVER ? Milford A. Bassett of Andover RD, died Thursday (Oct. 5, 1972) at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, after a long illness.
Born at Independence, Oct. 27, 1889, he was a son of Henry and Esther Austin Bassett. On June 26, 1912, he was married to the former Ella Langworthy, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Barbara) Jewett Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Bassett had been a lifelong member of the Independence Seventh-day Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer.
Friends may call at the Wildman Funeral Home, Whitesville, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Monday (Oct. 9, 1972) at 1 p.m. will be conducted by the Rev. Floyd Aldrich, pastor of the Seventh-day Baptist Church. Burial will be in Alfred Cemetery.
