Burlington - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marjorie Ann Agnus (Aldrich) Kimber. She left this earth on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, following a short illness.
Marjorie was born in Burlington on February 4, 1933, the fifth child of Franklin M. and Florence (Bessette) Aldrich. Marjorie was a homemaker and always had her eight children, many nieces, nephews and neighbors' children under foot, always saying "the more the merrier". In her younger years, she loved to cook and bake. Her baked beans were the best! Marjorie loved to read and never turned down a good book. Her large and extended family meant the world to her. We will always cherish the huge gatherings year after year. She never forgot a birthday and her generousity and kindness uplifted us all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marjorie is survived by seven of her children and spouses: Debra and Eddie Latimer, Laurie Grant, Paula Kilburn, Kevin Kimber, John Kimber, Dawn and Jack Menard and Jessica and Robin Hammond; 20 grandchilren; 23 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Grouchy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Kimber III, her brother, Frank Aldrich; her sisters: Marion, Corrine and Betty and Marjorie's former husband, Thomas Kimber, II.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5-8pm, during which a service will be held at 7pm in Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel, 97 Elmwood Ave. Gifts in her memory, may be made to the funeral home in care of Jessica Hammond, to be used at the family's discretion.
