Arthur F. Bassett Jr.
Services for Mr. Bassett, 60, of Lothrop Road, were held Friday, Jan.
18, at the Verheyden Funeral Home and Grosse Pointe Unitarian Churc
He died Jan. 14 in Henry Ford Hospital.
Mr. Bassett was a 1945 graduate of the University of Michigan School
of Architecture and a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He received
his master's degree from Cranbrook Institute and studied further in Europe.
He was a registered architect and partner in Albert Kahn Assoc.,
Architects and Engineers. He was an active member in the Barbershop Society of
the Lakeshore Chorus, the Players and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during
World War II.
Mr. Bassett is survived by his wife, Lee; four daughters; Susan
Bassett, Barbara Lambert, Elizabeth Palcombit and Nancy Bassett; three
sisters; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the heart fund.
Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
