In Memory of Rita B. Bessette

Rita B. (Gagnon) Bessette, age 90, formerly of Fall River, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 in the Fairview Nursing Home in Groton, Connecticut.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Ernest and Rosanna (Thibault) Gagnon, she had been a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Bessette worked as a seamstress in the local Textile Mills for 40 years before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and baking especially birthday cakes.
She is survived by one daughter Simone Herritt of North Stonington, CT, three grandchildren; Scott Herritt and his wife Tracy, Charles Herritt, and Stacy Herritt. She was sister of the late Armond, Albert, and Leo Gagnon.
Contributions in her honor may be made to The Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut, 235 Lestertown Road, Groton, Connecticut 06340. Private services were in the care of the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRHCREST.
