The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial was to be in Pine Heaven Memory Gardens with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Bakins Bass; a daughter, Miss Lynda Bass of Scottsboro; two sons, Jackie Bass of Scottsboro and Gary Bass of Huntsville; four sisters, Mrs. Soprano McDial of Heflin, Mrs. Rhoda McCarver of Decherd, Tennessee, Mrs. Annie Holt of Scottsboro, and Mrs. Sabrina Womack of Fackler; a brother, Homer Bass of Fackler; and two grandchildren.
