Wedding of Miss Woodworth And Mr. Leonard Bassett
The Rev. Charles O. Farrar officiated last evening at 8:30 at the marriage of Miss Ruth Chester Woodworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Woodworth of Hyde street, Newton Highlands, to Mr. Leonard Crosby Bassett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford F. Bassett of Prescott street, Newtonville. The ceremony was performed at St. Paul?s Episcopal Church in Newton Highlands and was followed by a reception at the bride?s parents. Mr. Woodworth gave his daughter?s hand in marriage.
The bride wore a gown of hyacinth blue and matching hat, carrying a bouquet of tea roses. Miss Ruth Holbrook of Swampscott served as maid of honor and was costumed in black velvet, carrying a bouquet of red roses. Mr. Roswell Bassett of Hyannis was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett will be at home to their friends at 1196 Boylston street, Back Bay. Their engagement was announced on Christmas day, 1931.
