J. Leslie Hadley
NORTH KIGNSVILLE ? J. Leslie Hadley, 87, of East Center Street, North Kingsville, OH, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. He was born on August 14, 1916, in West Branch, Iowa, the son of John H. and Bessie (Bassett) Hadley. He married Pauline Bower on July 14, 1939. Mr. Hadley was employed for 25 years with Sanborn Motors in Ashtabula, as a counter man, until his retirement. He is also a former North Kingsville Village Councilman and was a very active member of the Kingsville Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving him are his wife; three sons, Robert W. (Kathleen) Hadley of Fairfield Bay, AR, Frank (Diane) Hadley of Ashtabula, and Douglas J. (Priscilla) Hadley of Grand Rapids, MI; two daughters, Joyce (Bruce) Carpenter of Kingsville, and Robert M. (Chris) Svenson of Denmark Township; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert Hadley of FL, and Dwight Hadley of Farmdale, OH; and a sister, Elva Hopkins of Cortland, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters in infancy; and a brother, Wayne.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. no Wednesday, December 31,2003, at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with his son, Reverend Douglas Hadley officiating. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the North Kingsville Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
