      KERNERSVILLE ? Mrs. Virginia Lee Barrier Bass, 84, died Sunday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
      Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forsyth Memorial Park.
      She was a native of Rowan County and a member of Sunlight Baptist Church.
      Surviving are son, James Milton Bass of Kernersville; daughter, Mrs. D.G. (Mildred Hauser of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
      The family will be at Hayworth-Miller-Cane Funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.

      A pretty wedding was solemnized at five o?clock Wednesday evening when Miss Virginia Lee Barrier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Barrier, of Mt. Ulla, became the bride of James Warren Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.. Bass, of this city, the ceremony being performed at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. V.M. Swaim.
      After a short bridal trip Mr. and Mrs. Bass will be at home at 205 Sprague street.
      Mr. Bass is a member of the firm of Dillon and Bass, conducting a mercantile establishment in Southside. Mrs. Bass has been making her home in this city for the past year. The young couple have many friends who will be interested in the announcement of their wedding.
