Mrs. Irving M. Bassett (picture included)
Mrs. Irving M. Bassett of 3800 Stratford, a Dallas resident for about
50 years, died Wednesday at her home after an illness of several month
Born in Weatherford, Mrs. Bassett attended St. Mary’s school in Dallas
and Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va.
She was president of the Matheon Club here until recently. She was a
member of St. Matthew’s Cathedral.
Survivors include her husband, a retired real estate man, and a
granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Restland
Memorial Park Chapel, Greenvile and Valley View Lane, with Dean Gerald Moore
officiating. Cremation will follow.
Pallbearers will be Walter Fraser, Max Curtis, John O. Wharton, George
M. Field, Ralph W. Smith and Kelly Parker.
