Edward L. Bessette
Edward L. Bessette, 70, died unexpectedly Friday night at his home, 206 Burgoyne Avenue, Fort Edward. Mr. Bessette was a World War I veteran and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Fort Edward. He was a member of Fort Edward Council, Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are his wife, the former Bernice Perkins; one brother, Ernest Bessette of Fort Edward and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 8:30 a.m. today from the Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls and at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, Fort Edward, where a Requiem High Mass was celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Members of Adirondack Barracks, World War I Veterans conducted military services at the funeral home yesterday afternoon.
