Lillie B. Safewright
Barhamsville - Lillie Bassett Safewright, 99, passed away Friday, December 17, 1999. She is survived by four daughters, Carrie Lee Wallace of Barhamsville, Frances Wake of Middlesex, Gladys Lee of Williamsburg and Melinda Green of King and Queen; four sons, Curtis Bassett and Clarence Bassett Sr. of Barhamsville, the Revrtrnf William Bassett of Toano and Enoch Bassett of Toano; three daughters-in-law, Catherine, Louise and Gertrude; one son-in-law, David Wallace; two nieces, Pearl Wallace and Lucy Oliver; and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 1999, at the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Barhamsville. Interment in the church cemetery. Viewing will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the J.K. Redmond Funeral Home.
