      Pauline Bessette Married to William Lautenbach

      Saturday morning in St. Louis Church, West Springfield, Miss Pauline Rachel Bessette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bessett of Armstrong St., West Springfield, became the bride of William Francis Lautenbach, so nof Max Lautenbach of Manchester, Conn., and the late Mrs. Lautenbach. Rev. Edward Autheir performed the ceremony before an altar decorated with white carnations. Traditonal wedding marches were played and Miss Frances Regnier sang ?Ave Maria? and ?Mother At Thy Feet.? Miss Anita Jarry and Miss Lorraine Wellspeck, cousins of the bride, presented souvenir missals to the guests at the church.
      Mrs. Robert Cassady was matron of honor, Mrs. Hoard Flavell of Manchester, Conn., and Miss Lorraine Jarry were bridesmaids, and Sharon Flavell of Manchster was flower girl. peter Capra of New Britain, Conn., served as best man and Frederick Murphy and John Lautenback, both of Manchester, ushered, Ring bearer was Allan Bunce of Manchester. Children of Mary were Miss Cecile Tardif and Miss Jean Tardif.
      The bride wore a gown of imported Chantilly lace and nylon tulle designed with Chantilly lace collar, sheer yoke, fitted lace bodice, elbow length sleeves and bouffant nylon tulle skirt embroidered with Chantilly lace motifs and cathedral train of nylon tulle over saitn. She wore matching lace mitts an dher finger tip veil of French illusion was arranged to a crown of rosepoint lace and seed pearls. She carried a prayer book with an orchid and streamers of stephanotis and ivy.
      The matron of honor wore a gown of pink orchid tulle over taffeta designed with scalloped neckline and embroidered bodice. She wore a matching lace picture had and mitts and carried ac olonial bouquet of yellow carnations and garnet roses. The bridesmaids wore similar outfits in yellow and carriec colonial bouquets of pink carnations and sweetheart roses. The Children of Mary wore similar outfits in blue and carried colonial bouquets of French roses. The flower girl wore pale green tulle over taffeta designed with insertions of white lace, and matching picture hat. She carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.
      A reception followed at Belli?s, North Wilbraham, with Miss Simone Bessette, a cousins, in charge of the guest book. The bride?s mother wore a waltz length dress of embroidered rose tulle and lace over taffeta with white accessories and corsage of garnet roses and babies? breath> mrs. Oscar Segerdahl, aunt of the bridegroom, wore a rose and blue iridescent taffeta dress designed with black velvet cushion dots, matching accessories and corsage of sweetheart roses and babie?s breath.
      Mr. and Mrs. Lautenbach left on a wedding trip by motor to Niagara Falls and Montreal from where they will take a Saguenay River cruise. Traveling, the bride wore a pale blue suit with beige and luggage brown accessories. They will reisee at 113 Deepwood Dr., Manchester, Conn., after July 17.
      The bride is a graduate of High School of Commerce and has been employed in the accounting department of Eastern States Farmers Exchange. Mr. Lautenback is a graduate of Manchester High School and attended the University of Connecticut. He served two years in the Navy during World War II and is employed by the Park Department of Manchester.

      Pauline B. Lautenbach, 89, of Middletown formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late William F. Lautenbach passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. Pauline was born in West Springfield, MA on July 13, 1927 daughter of the late Ernest and Lucille (Gagnun) Bessette. She was a longtime Manchester resident before recently moving to Middletown. Pauline worked for more than 20 years and retired as a sales clerk from the former Marlow's Department Store Manchester. She was a lifelong communicant of St. James Church, was very well loved at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and was active at the Salvation Army and the Manchester Senior Citizen Center. Pauline is survived by her loving family, three sons, William F. Lautenbach Jr. of Manchester, Richard E. Lautenbach and his wife, Susan Lynch of Middletown, John A. Lautenbach of East Hartford, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, John W. Lautenbach and his wife, Adrienne and their children, Anabelle and Theodore; and Renee Westry and her husband, Benjamin and their children Noah and Maxwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main Street Manchester. Those attending please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery Manchester. Family and friends may call Sunday, April 9, from 3-6 pm at the Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester.
