Elizabeth ?Bettie June? Bassett Clark, 86, of Hopkinsville died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Christian Health Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tim Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky she was born July 14, 1933 the daughter of the late Frank Houston Bassett, Jr. and Sara Belle McPherson Bassett. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was also an accomplished seamstress and an avid bridge player. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Frank Houston Bassett III.
Survivors include her husband: Wayne Clark; her son: Mason (Theresa) Clark of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughter: Sally (Joe) Clark Hach of Nashville, TN; and her grandchildren: Joseph Karl Hach, Carter Lee Hach, Elizabeth ?Liza? Bassett Hach, Charles Bassett Clark, and Annie Elizabeth Clark.
