  Notes	The Times, Gainesville, Georgia, 16 Oct 1999 Robert L. Bassett Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel for Robert L. Bassett, 77, of Reeves Road, Dawsonville. Pastor Ricky Stepp and the Rev. Cecil Townley will officiate. Burial will be in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Bassett died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born July 27, 1922, in LaGrange, and lived in Dawson County for the past 42 years, having moved here from Atlanta. Mr. Bassett retired from Coronet Carpets after 13 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Christ Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile M. Bassett. Survivors include his son, Jimmy Bassett, Dawsonville, grandchildren, Jamie Bassett, Dahlonega, Tracie Cowart, Hayesville, N.C. and great-granddaughter, Kellsie Ann Cowart.
