John Dewey Bass
BURLINGTON, June 22 ? John Dewey Bass, 49, owner and operator of a well-known eating place on the Greensboro road for 15 years, died at his home at 12:30 a.m. today following a sudden heart attack. Mr. Bass lived on route 1, at Correct Time Inn which he operated. He was the husband of Mrs. Lula Harder Bass, and a native of Burlington. Funeral will be held at Rich and Thompson chapel Sunday at 5 p.m. and burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, John Richard and H.F. Bass, both of Burlington; his mother, Mrs. Sallie Lindley Bass, of Burlington; two sisters, Mr. H.C. Isley and Mrs. Clay Marlette, of Burlington; and one brother, Banks W. Bass, of this city.
