Mrs. Olive Davis Bassett
Mrs. Olive Davis Bassett, 75, of 4423 East Second street, died yesterday at her home. She was born December 17, 1872 in Washington, Pa., and after 32 years in Oregon came to Long Beach from that state in 1930. She is survived by two sons, Raymond H. Bassett of Salem, Ore., and G. Willard Bassett of Santa Ana; seven daughters, Mrs. A.E. Williams of Portland, Ore., Mrs. J.J. Hughes of Heppner, Ore.; Mrs. Charles M. Hollingsworth of Long Beach;Mrs. Florence Correll of Santa Monica; Mrs. R.H. McKeown of Alemeda, Calif.; Mrs. Horace Jones of Sacramento; and Mrs. A.M. Piculell of Pomona; a brother, W.H. Davis, a sister, Mrs Albert Ede, both of Sacramento; and 23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Service in Mottell's Chapel. Internment in Friends Cemetery, Newberg Oregon.

Members Of Family Enjoy Reunion Here
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Jones and Mrs. Olive Davis Bassett entertained a group of kinsfolk over the weekend in their home at 320 Nineteenth Street. The visitors were: Mrs. Bruce McKeown and daughters, Misses Dorothy and Florence, of San Jose, and Mr. and Mrs. G. Willard Bassett and two sons of Santa Ana. Mrs. Jones, Mrs. McKeown and G. Willard Bassett are the children of Mrs. Olive Davis Bassett.
A picnic was enjoyed by the group Sunday at McKinley Park. Others present in addition to those mentioned were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Ede, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Wharton, Mrs. Winnie Jackson, W. H. Davis, Bob Gordon and Stewart Jones.
On Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Ede entertained at a family reunion dinner in their home at 824 Twentieth Street. Others present on that occasion were Guy Bassett of Elmira, Mrs. Lucille Davis Tracy and Wilbur Tracy.
