Bassette Jr.
Francis Michael Bassette Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Port St. Lucie, Fla., after a short illness. He was born on March 12, 1952, in St. Johns, Newfoundland. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Navy. Michael was an avid NASCAR fan and followed Patriots football faithfully. He worked for WDS trucking as a long haul driver. His best buddy Audie kept him company on the road for the past year. Mike was loved by all who met him and he had many friends around the country. He was predeceased by his father, Francis M. Bassette Sr. He leaves behind his mother, Margaret Bassette of Vernon; and his wife, Tienna in Port St. Lucie, Fla. He also leaves his sisters, Pat Morganson of Plantsville and Marcia Bassette of Winston-Salem, N.C. He leaves his nephews, David Basch, Andrew Basch, and Robert Basch; and two nieces, Rachel Cuff and Tamara Aldrich. He also had several great-nieces and nephews. Services will be at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Francis Bassette
Francis Michael Bassette Jr., 61, died Aug. 1, 2013, at home. He was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the Navy. He was employed as a long-haul trucker. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Tienna Bassette of Port St. Lucie; mother, Margaret Bassette of Vernon, Conn.; and sisters, Patricia Morganson of Plantsville, Conn., and Marcia Bassette of Winston-Salem, N.C. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis M. Bassette Sr. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Services: The family will be receiving friends at their home. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
