Cecelia M. Ball, 82, of North Mankato died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Father Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8 from 4-8 p.m. at Landkamer-Johnson-Boman Funeral Home with a 6:00 pm. rosary. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Cecelia Marie was born on Jun 27, 1925 in St. James, MN to Dr. F.L. and Cecila (Hassett) Bregel. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1942 and from St. Theresa's College in 1946. On August 16, 1948 Cecelia was united in marriage to Lee Richard Ball in St. James. Cecelia started the Rockeretts soft shoe dance group. She was a tour guide for the bank and the Chamber of Commerce. SHe loved to travel, play cards, and bowl. She was a board member of Primetime, a member of the Captain's Crew, Mankato Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Cecelia is survived by her three daughters: Patricia May of Onset, MA, Catherine Ball of Mankato, and Elizabeth Haefner of Mankato; grandchildren: Joshua Stuhlfaut of Duxbury, MA, Adam Stuhlfaut of Watertown, MA, Nicholas Stuhlfaut of Atlanta, GA, Benjamin Bassett of Bloomington, MN, Emily Bassett of St. Paul, Caitlin Bassett of North Mankato, Erin Haefner of Mankato and Kaycee Haefner of Mankato; great-grandchildren: Caroline Stuhlfaut, Destin and DaNeya Hemphill, Miles Bassett, Tasia, Marqavion Haefner, TyLee Heafner-Richardson, and Kaylee Hutchinson; brother Dr. Charles (Virginia) Bregal of Hudson, WI; sister Monica (Dr. Jay David) McGill of Wayzata; and special friend Phillip Staley of North Mankato. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother James.
