Ruth A. Taylor
BRIDGEWATER CORNERS - Ruth Abbie Badger Taylor, 89, died Dec. 16, 2005, at her
home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Pomfret, the daughter of George W. Badger and
Bertha A. (Bassett) Badger.
She graduated from Woodstoock High School in 1934 and from Northampton
Commercial College in 1935.
She married Vaughan Taylor on Oct. 8, 1939, in South Pomfret.
Earlier, Mrs. Taylor had worked for C.C. Frost for six and half years. Later,
she was a bookkeeper for Bridgewater Woolen Mill for 21 years.
She was a member of Bridgewater Congregational Church, the woman's club at the
church and The New England Club and the Vermont Club, both in Florid
Survivors include her husband of Bridgewater Corners; a son, Sargent of New
Hartford, Conn.; three granddaughters; a great-grandson and two great-
granddaughters; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Everett Badger and George Badger; and two
sisters, Rachael Badger and Reba Badger.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at the Cabot
Funeral Home, 1 Rose Hill in Woodstock.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at
Bridgewater Congregational Church in Bridgewater. Burial will be in Reverside
Cemetery in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Norris Cotton Cancer
