Bassette-Donald Horace, 61, of 1473 Pinedale Drive, Trion, Ga., died Monday at his home. A native of Indian Orchard, Mass., he was a retired quality assurance specialist with the Department of Defense and was a son of the late Horace and Annie Larigne Bassetts. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Adams Bassette, Trion,; son Douglas Bassette, Norcross, Ga.; daughter, Donna Bassette, California; stepdaughter, Debra Williams, Rome, Ga.; stepson, Dale Adams, Orota, Spain; brother, Larry Bassette, Charleston, SC.; nine grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Floyd memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lawrence Larsen officiating. The family will receive friends at 1473 Pinedale Drive and requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association or the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Erwin-Pettit Funeral Home, Summerville, Ga.

Bassett Becomes Area Representative (Includes picture)
Donald H. Bassett of 24 Kay St. has been appointed a sales representative for the Berkshire Life Insurance Co. in the Springfield area.
Mr. Bassett, a native of Springfield, attended the Springfield Trade High School and the Elliot Radio School. In 1945 he served with the U.S. Navy in the Northern Pacific. Prior to joining Berkshire Life Mr. Bassett was employed by Monsanto Chemical Co.
Mr. Bassett will be associated with the Michael G. Rommell Agency.
