Mrs. Eunice W. Hudgins
Mrs. Eunice W. Hudgins, died at her home,, Blakes, November 16, at the age of 32 years. She was the mother of four children, all of which have preceded her to the grave. She is survived by her husband, H.M. Hudgins, her father, J. W. Bassett, four brothers, J.R., S.R., E.W. and P.W. Bassett, all of Blakes, and three sisters, Mrs. Steve Ewell, of Hamilton, North Carolina; Mrs. Bernice Pinault, of Mathews, and Miss Hazel C. Bassett of Blakes.
Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. C.L. Salmon, November 18th, at 2 p.m. at Mathews Chapel, of which she was a member. She was a patient sufferer and bore her suffering with Christian fortitude.
Interment was made in the cemetery at Chapel, by the side of her four children. The active pallbearers were H.L. and W.F. Hammond, Thomas Pinault, High Hudgins, L.C. Hudgins, R.L. Foster. Honorary were T.J. and C.A. Morris, R.Y. Atherton, S.S. Hammond, J.R. Shackelford and WIllie Shackelford.
