The Basses (Picture included)
Mr. and Mrs. Callie Bass of 202 E. Misosuri Street, will be honored at a family dinner tomorrow at the home of Mrs. Bass’ brother, Rubert Kingsley, 516 North Wabash Avenue. The occasion is in celebration of the marriage of Mr. Bass and the former Elva Kingsley, on December 24, 1920.
The Basses have one son, Rubert Bass of Mount Vernon, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bass is retired from employement at the Vendome Hotel, where he worked for 19 years.

Elva Bass
Mount Vernon, Indiana - Elva F. Bass, 88, died at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday at the Medco Center in Mount Vernon.
She was a member of the Church of God in Evansville and the auxiliary of VFW Post 1114.
Surviving are her husband, Callie, two sisters, Helen Mitchell of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and Mayme Cline of Corydon; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
