Herve L. Bessette
Herve L. Bessette, 74, of 747 Park St., formerly of Chestnut Street, Central Falls, owner of Bessette's Laundry, Central Falls, for 40 years before retiring in 1986, died yesterday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home. He was the husband of Bernadette (Caouette) Bessette.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Arthur and Adrienne (Morrissette) Bessette, he moved to Attleboro in February.
Mr. Bessette was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, Central Falls. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Eugene T. Lefebvre Post, VFW, Central Falls, Le Foyer, Pawtucket, the Pawtucket Elks and the the Central Falls Community Center.
Besides his wife he leaves a son, Gerard Bessette of Winchester, Va.; two daughters, Claire Lockwood of Attleboro and Lorraine Seqeueira of North Attleboro; two sisters, Lillian Dumais of Pawtucket and Jeanne Bourgeois of South Attleboro; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 20 Ledge St., Central Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame Church, Broad Street, Central Falls. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
