  Notes	St. Albans Daily Messenger, July 30, 1963 Jed Bessette GEORGIA – Jed Bessette, 80, retired farmer, died Sunday morning at a St. Albans hospital after a brief illness. He was born in St. Albans Aug. 18, 1882, son of the late Gideon and Philomene C. Bessette. Mr. Bessette is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alcidas (Olive) Phoenix and Mrs. Clarence (Marguerite) Nichols, both of St. Albans Bay; two sons, Howard and Clarence Bessette, both of Georgia; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held this morning at 9 at Holy Angels Church. Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery. T.J. Moran was the funeral directory. Charland celebrating a requiem of high Mass. The bearers Jed Bombard, Gardner Palmer, Leo LaMothe, Dewey Alexander, Francis Bessette and Norman Mayo. Interment was in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. Victor G. Deslauriers reading prayers.
