Attended Howard University Medical College, sessions 9 to 11, 1876-1879, and graduated M.D. in 1879. He appears to have remained in Washington, D.C. until 1886, when he removed to Wadsworth, Nevada, thence to Ohio Pyle, Pennsylvania. In 1890 he was practicing medicine at Dunbar, Pennsylvania. Was taken sick and removed to Fredericktown, Pennsylvania, where the family of his wife (nee Ada Potter) resided.
