Mrs. Margaret J. (Rupprecht) Bassette
1934 2013 ADAMS Mrs. Margaret J. (Rupprecht) Bassette, 79, of 325 Kelly Rd., Vernon, CT, formerly of Adams, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at New Britain General Hospital, New Britain, CT. She was born in Adams on Feb. 6, 1934, a daughter of the late William and Rachel (Fairweather) Rupprecht. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School. Mrs. Bassette worked as an electronics inspector in the quality control department of TEK Electronics in Manchester, Conn. for many years until retiring. Earlier she had worked for LaPointe Industries in Rockville, Conn. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, Rockville. Her husband, Francis M. Bassette, whom she married on May 26, 1951, died on October 26, 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Morganson and her husband Gary of Plantsville, Conn. and Marcia Bassette of Winston Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Myrtice Gagne and Geraldine Roberts, both of Adams; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Francis M. Bassette, Jr., who died on August 1, 2013. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 7, at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Church of Blessed John Paul, Adams, by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
