Auburn Farmer Is Killed In Fall
Burton C. Bassett, 64-year old Auburn farmer, was killed when he tumbled eighteen feet to the ground from a ladder while he was picking plums in an orchard about 8:30 o?clock this morning. His skull was fractured.
The body was found by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Clifford A. Bassett, a few minutes after he had fallen, Deputy Coroner Harry Johnson, said. The accident happened when a limb on the tree broke.
The body was taken to Hill?s Funeral Home at Puyallup. He is survived by a brother, Clifford, with whom he resided near Auburn.
