Roland was an executive director for the E.E.O.C. for the U.S. Government living in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Connecticut, Florida and Atlanta. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adrienne Bessette; a son, Raymond Bessette; and a grandson, David Bessette. He is survived by a son, Roland L. Bessette of Detroit, MI; several nieces and nephews; friend and caregiver, Walter Connon of Metter. Mr. Bessette will be cremated. Kennedy Funeral Home Hooks Chapel.
