Edmond L. Bessette
Edmond L. Bessette, 91, husband of the late Helene Caron Bessette, of Canterbury, died at his sons home in Glastonbury on Friday, (September 5, 2003). Born in Fall River he lived in Canterbury until December when he moved to Glastonbury to live with his son. He was a graduate of Durfery High School. Fall River, MA and was a retired Tool and Die maker of the Brand and Rex Co. in Willimantic. He is survived by his son, Paul with whom he lived, and four other sons, Denis and Susan of Virginia, Gerard and Elaine of Texas, William and Dianna of South Carolina, David and Patricia of Maryland; his brother, Roland of Georgia; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Tuesday, September 9, with a procession forming at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpke., Glastonbury, at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Pauls Church, Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery in Plainfield, at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice in his memory.
