Miss Odette Bessette Weds Earl Benjamin
North Agawam Couple Are Married in Ceremony at St. Theresa’s Church
Agawam, July 1 – The marriage of Miss Odette Vella Bessette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mois V. Bessette of Howard terrace, North Agawam, to Earl A. Benjamin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Benjamin of Walnut street, North Agawam, took place this morning at 9 at St. Theresa’s church. Rev. William J. Leclaire officiated using the single-ring service. Mrs. Lucy Hennesy played the wedding music. Miss Phyllis Gosselin of Baltimore, Md., and Elroy R. Benjamin, brother of the groom, were the attendants.
The bride wore a mousseline de soie gown with a fingertip veil, and a poke bonnet trimmed with forget-me-nots, and carried a prayerbook trimmed with orchids and lilies of the valley. Miss Gosselin wore a printed organza gown with a large horsehair pink hat and carried a colonial bouquet of pink rose buds and babies’ breath. A blue and white silk crepe redingote with blue and white accessories was worn by Mrs. Bessette, who had a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Benjamin, who also had a corsage of red roses, wore a blue lace gown with white accessories.
A wedding breakfast was held at Stella’s restaurant for the immediate families and a reception was held at the bride’s home. The couple left for a wedding trip to Baltimore, Washington and New York. Traveling, the bride wore a dusty pink silk dress with a brown flannel redingote and brown and white accessories. The couple will be at home after the 15th, at 196 Walnut street.
The bride is a graduate of the Agawam high school and is employed at the S.S. Kresge company. The groom graduated from Kelly high school in Chicago, and is employed at the Wico Electric company. Guests attended from Baltimore, New York and Miami, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. M.V. Bessette of Tower terrace, North Agawam, announce the engagement of their daughter, Odette Zelia, to Earl A. Benjamin, so of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Benjamin of Walnut street, North Agawam. No date for the wedding has been announced.
