Irene K. Bassett
MORRISONVILLE – Irene K. Bassett, 95, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1992, in Zephyrhills, Fla.
She was born March 12, 1897, at Standish, the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Buckley) Kennedy.
Mrs. Bassett taught for 44 years at Saranac Central School. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association, the Morrisonville Senior Citizens and the St. Alexander’s Church Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Viola) Ducatte of Cadyville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Leon Bassett, died in 1990.
Calling hours will be held at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in Redford.
