William W. Edson
William W. Edson was born in Ohio, 75 years ago, and died at the home of his son, Wesley Edson, in this city at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26th. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday at 10 o?clock, conducted by Rev. W.R. Johnson. The body was then taken to Richwoods cemetery west of Carrollton for interment. Mr. Edson was twice married, his first wife being Mary Smith of Missouri, and to them were born four children, three of whom are living, Edward of Jersey County, Mrs. John Regeilen of Springfield and Wesley of this city. After the death of his wife many years ago, he was married to Elizabeth Bassett and seven children were born to them, four of whom are living, Walter, Lee and Ada of Oklahoma and Charles of Eldred. There are 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
