Galipean-Bessette

COHOES, Jan 31. – A pretty wedding took place last night at the Sacred Heart Church, when Miss Josephine Bessette was united in marriage to Joseph Galipean. Rev. father L.A. Lavigne, pastor of the church, officiated. It occurred in the presence of many friends and relatives. Following the ceremony a reception took place. Later Mr. and Mrs. Gailipean left on a wedding trip to New York and Philadelphia. Upon their return they will make their home in this city.

Coheosier Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Josephine M. Bessett Galipeau, 92, of 557 Boght Rd., Cohoes, a resident for the last 70 years, died Wednesday at Cohoes memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Canada, she was as communicant of St. Marie’s Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Ann’s and the Union of Prayer of that parish. She was the widow of Joseph A. Galipeau.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Henry Desrosiers of Boght Corners, Mrs. Raymond Roberts of Waterford, Mrs. John Cronin and Mrs. Lynn Wilson, both of Boght Corners; and four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, and at 10:30 a.m. from St. Marie’s Church where a Concelebrated Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
