Edward Milton Bass
Edward Milton Bass, age 82, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Born in Wilson County, on September 30, 1934, he was the son of the late William Bass and Pearl Wells Bass. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William Bass and Bobby Ray Bass. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Turner Bass; son, Scott Bass and Kay Dildy; daughters, Lisa Hardison and husband, Jasper, of Washington; and Genia Bissette and husband, Greg, of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Joyner of Rock Springs, Georgia; sister-in-law, Dockie Bass of Bahama; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Reverend Bryan Creech officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church, P. O. Box 118, Sharpsburg, North Carolina 27878. Arrangements by Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.
