Lillianne A. (Bessette) Murphy
Lillianne A. (Bessette) Murphy, 73, of Seekonk, MA and formerly of Pawtucket, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday, September 29, 2007) at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late William Murphy. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Cecile (Laurendeau) Bessette. She had lived most of her life in Pawtucket before moving to Seekonk four years ago. Mrs. Murphy was a cook for the RI School Lunch School Program for 22 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of TI Retirees, Saint Teresa Seniors, and a former member of St. Raphael Ladies Auxilliary, St. Teresa's Mother's Club, and the Marian Guild. She is survived by four sons, William Murphy Jr. and his wife, Norma of Pawtucket, RI, Kevin Murphy and his wife, Ann-Marie of Rehoboth, MA, Mark Murphy of Manchester, and John Murphy and his wife, Debbie of Rumford, RI; a daughter, Karen Magill and her husband, Carl of Seekonk, MA; a brother, Roland Bessette; four sisters, Margaret Rinaldi, Theresa Absi, Elizabeth Lapointe, and Jeanette Sassi; ten grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Sean, Shannon, Greg, Madeline, Patrick and Jessia Murphy, Kyllie and Jordyn Magill. She was the sisters of the late Laurence Brdar and Fleurette Wood. She was the devoted friend of Elaine L. Maynard. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, Newport Ave., Pastucket, RI.
